With the agricultural show season underway, the Animal Health team would like to remind cattle keepers of the arrangements in place for recording cattle movements to and from shows.
To help show exhibitors and organisers, the Animal Health team will record cattle movements on behalf of showgrounds this year. Following each show, organisers will provide the Animal Health team with a list of animals that attended and the holdings from which they came. The movements will then be entered onto IOMEID by the Animal Health team. Show organisers will have stickers available for the movement section on your cattle passports so you can record the movement as normal on the paper passport.
These arrangements are intended to make show attendance easier for keepers while ensuring that cattle movement records remain accurate and up to date.
